H3460 Marine Anti Slip Tape Now Available

Safety-Grip

With the marine industry becoming a large percentage of our customer base, we are proud to finally announce our H3460 marine anti-slip tape.

With it becoming a constantly increasing percentage of our customer base, the marine industry is something, that, while we do cater for, and cater well, there was still more we could do to cater for them specifically. All the sectors that we supply, creating a product specific to their needs is something that we always strive to do, to ensure maximum product performance, durability and therefore efficiency is achieved. We have always had products that have been more than suitable.

Our Safety Grip™ anti slip tape was successfully used as marine anti slip tape, as far back as 2011 in the Mundial Platu 25 yacht races, helping the Mundo Marino team to 2nd place. They chose to use our blue Safety Grip™ anti-slip tape, something we didn’t expect due to its abrasive surface. It turned out to be a perfect product, as this was not a pleasure cruise, and all of the team members wore trainers in their exhaustive efforts in ensuring the racing yacht performed to its full potential and having a sure-footing was vital in achieving this. Fast forward to the present and after many hours of R&D, we feel that we now have a product that caters to all the needs of the marine industry, in particular, sea-worthy vessels….

marine anti slip tape greyOur new H3460 marine anti slip tape is built for the open sea! It is suitable for all waterways. The finish does have a mineral coating but has a rounded feel to it, meaning there are no sharp edges, so for casual boat users, walking round in bare feet is possible, as it will be comfortable underfoot. For working or competition boats, the anti-slip surface will ensure a sure-footed surface is always available. One factor we have never brought into consideration on our other anti-slip tapes, abrasive or non-abrasive, is the effects of salt. As we are all aware, the sea has very high levels of salt, and while we have not experienced any major problems due to this, it was something we felt needed to be added in, as high exposure to salt could potentially cause failure. We are happy to tell you that we have achieved full salt resistance, so in the open seas, there will be no failure from constant exposure to saltwater.

The application must still be made on a clean, dry surface and our ancillaries range can also be used if necessary. We can provide our marine anti slip tape in various die cuts or rolls in blue, black or grey.

If you require a custom solution, please contact us, as dependent on order quantity, we can create marine anti-slip in any shape, size or colour, and print is even possible.
