Here is a List of Equipment You’ll Need:

Before we begin, ensure you have all your equipment to hand, so you are ready.

Step 1 – Use IPA to Clean the Area You are Applying Tape

The first step is an important one put your gloves on! Then grab your IPA surface cleaner and your cloth and wipe down the surface thoroughly. This is vital to prolonging the life of the anti-slip tape and secures a good surface to grip too.

Step 3 – Apply Surface Primer with a Brush

Applying surface primer, brush a generous amount onto the planned application surface for the sign. Surface primer ensures a proper bond between the application surface and the warehouse marker, as dirt or water will not penetrate the area, which otherwise would adversely affect the adhesive, potentially deteriorating the adhesive layer.

Step 5 – Add any Custom Signage (For ColorCover or PermaCover Only)

Add your custom sign or message of choice facing the non-adhesive side of the ColorCover/PermaCover. This step ensures the floor cover is the correct way up once applied, and the sign is clear and readable, not reversed.

Using a Heskins Seam Roller to Flatten Custom Signage for Proper Adhesion

Step 6 – Apply Floor Marker Using Pressure Roller

This step makes sure there isn’t any air bubbles and that the cover is applied securely. Using your pressure roller, start rolling it across the adhesive sides of the floor cover.

Adding Edge Fix to the edges of the custom signage

Step 7 – Apply Edge Fix for High Traffic Areas

Once the warehouse marker is applied, it’s time to do the final touches! Get your edge sealant placing a solid line on each edge of the floor markers edges as displayed in the image. Edge sealant ensures the sign is secured down and stops any dirt or water from getting underneath the floor cover, prolonging the life of the adhesive.
