Applications

The helicopter blade application is its most prominent application but it can often be seen in areas where is potential for chafing (think of a pinch point when two moving parts can contact one another in a machine), to prevent damage to surfaces from rubbing or when it is critical to prevent chips when a part is moving at high speed in a non-sealed area.

While originally designed for helicopter blades, this abrasion-resistant tape is also popular in cycling as protective bike tape. Cyclists use it to shield bike frames from scratches, chafing, and chip damage caused by dirt, debris, and cable rub. It’s especially useful on vulnerable areas like the downtube, chainstay, and fork, ensuring long-lasting protection without adding bulk.
