When a Company expands, changes need to be made to accommodate the growth, so it was time we had an office overhaul at the factory, read on to find out more.
For those of you who follow us on Facebook or Twitter, you may have seen from time to time that we have mentioned we were having extensive building work done on our offices. We are very happy to say it’s finally complete and were settled in, but it has been by no means easy, as moving around ten members of staff while keeping them working as much as possible was very hard work, and we can safely say we will not be doing it again in a hurry! We know, we know, the trials and tribulations of building new offices sound like first world problems…. it is, and while it was stressful, it was very much a welcome obstacle. Bring on winter, this year we’re ready for you!! It took a good few months, with the original offices, bar the admin one (we didn’t want to disturb the girls too much) stripped right to the core, as a complete restructure was being made to utilise the space that we had here. Doing so means that not only do we have an extra office space, but also an upstairs toilet, with a magic Dyson hand dryer *smug face* next to the new admin office, and a cosy meeting room, which is still waiting for the luxury presentation items. We also have a full-on, no holds barred canteen now, which used to be my office/everyone’s canteen, so it’s safe to say, I’m glad I have moved into my own fully-fledged office….. \0/ Were all very happy with how it turned out, thanks to Mike and all of his colleagues for doing such a superb job on the building and electric work, and SCT for helping us with the new cable network for our server and PCs.
