Reflective tape is a simple, self-adhesive, hi vis tape, suitable for marking out potentially hazardous or dangerous areas. It can be effectively used in any environment and takes literally minutes to apply.

Formerly just a constituent to some of our other materials, reflective marking tape is now available in self-adhesive rolls.

Walkways

Reflective marking tape is great for marking out vital routes to be used either at all times, or routes to follow in an emergency. All colours are suitable to use for floor marking, however, you can refer to our colour reference guide for advice on which colour to use for your requirements.

Stairways

Stairways can be marked either as a specific or important way through for access or egress to or from a building or room. Stairways can also be marked to highlight them and remind people to take caution when ascending or descending them.

Ledges

Marked so workers or guests will be notified to use caution when working or near ledges.

Low Hanging Objects

Certain parts of structures can be at head height for some, therefore they are required to be marked to prevent injury. By adding hi vis tape, particularly reflective hazard tape to areas that could cause injury, you can reduce or prevent injuries completely.

Colours & Sizes

Available in plain colour and hazard in widths anywhere from 15mm to 1240mm and up to 10m in length, but as always, dependant on quantity, we can cater to your requirements. All the colours mentioned above are stocked in large quantities, so can be shipped immediately, and samples are available on request.

Tape Thickness

Reflective Marking Tape features a total applied thickness of 0.19mm, delivering a lightweight yet highly durable construction designed for long-term visibility and safety. Its thin, flexible profile allows the tape to conform smoothly to flat, curved, or irregular surfaces without lifting, while still maintaining excellent adhesion and structural integrity. This optimized thickness ensures a bright, high-performance reflective layer that enhances nighttime and low-light visibility without adding bulk, making it suitable for vehicles, machinery, steps, tools, and general hazard marking applications.

Certification/Standards

Heskins is proud to offer reflective tapes such as H6601 that are RA1 approved, adhering to the high standards of reflectivity and visibility once classified as Class 2 under BS873. While the BS873 standard is now considered redundant, it is still widely recognised and referred to in the industry. Our RA1 approved tape meets rigorous requirements for reflectivity and durability, ensuring top-quality safety and visibility solutions for our customers.

Customisation Options

For resellers, we offer a wide range of bespoke options supported by our in-house production conversion machinery. This allows us to supply shorter rolls of reflective tape, customised retail packs, specific core sizes, and nearly any other specifications you may require. Reflective tape can also be printed on, with 610mm rolls available to suit most industry-standard machines. Samples can be provided on request to demonstrate the quality of print achievable on our reflective safety tape. (Please note: enquire for MOQ’s; printing is not performed in-house, so extended lead times should be expected.)

All reflective marking tape is coated with a permanent, non–water-based adhesive designed to maintain a strong long-term bond without degrading under harsh environmental testing conditions. A protective paper backing liner is applied to safeguard the pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) prior to installation.

Beyond roll and packaging options, custom printing allows you to combine high visibility with clear, site-specific messaging for enhanced safety and organisation. The tape reflects light effectively in low-light environments and can be printed with arrows, text, numbering, or safety symbols. It is ideal for both indoor and outdoor settings—including warehouses, industrial sites, car parks, schools, and hospitals—where it can display warnings such as “SLOW: CROSSING AHEAD,” identify restricted zones, number bays, or reinforce “KEEP CLEAR” instructions. Custom-printed reflective tape provides critical guidance while maintaining high visibility in demanding environments.
